HMC can act on your behalf should you receive any imports into any UK airport or port.
We deal with the airline, shipping company and customs, clear the goods and deliver to any UK address.
To effect a customs clearance we usually only need your VAT number (if registered) and authorisation to act on your behalf.
HMC will settle any airline fees, such as handling and storage. Depending on the value, we may need to collect a cheque to cover customs duties and VAT incurred by the import (these are paid in advance, on your behalf, as part of the clearance procedure). Small figures, anything below £400 are added to your invoice, anything greater and we would expect a cheque upon delivery.
Anyone who regularly imports will be familiar with the above, if you have any questions regarding Customs, please call and ask for Ian or Des.
